Celebrity Karen neighbor tries to obstruct builders' construction site and charge them $500 per day to park on the street in front of her house, builder calls the police: '[She said she was] going to charge me $500/a day for parking in front of her house'

This builder came head-to-head with an unnamed minor celebrity and his wife when working on a job site in close proximity to their residence.

Getting through the day is hard enough without factoring unknowns into the equation. 

And when you're dealing with people, there are always going to be unknowns and plenty of unpredictable outcomes. Heck, even when your job isn't really centered around dealing with people, inevitably, dealing with people becomes the worst part of the job. As you can imagine, when your job involves making a lot of noise with heavy machinery next to people's homes, there are inevitably going to be interactions with some pretty upset people. 

While most of us might get annoyed or frustrated that there's construction going on while we're trying to enjoy a peaceful existence at home. We probably have the mental fortitude to move past it and accept that it is how it is, and the construction workers and builders making the noise are not necessarily doing anything wrong. Well, some people are completely incapable of this, turning their emotional turmoil into an escalating confrontation. This put the builder right in the path of displeasure and confrontation with a minor celebrity and his wife while working on a site close to their home.

    AITA for intentionally being petty? So I am a builder. I primarily do high-end custom homes, 1-4 million price range. I am a female (34), which isn't common in this industry, but I really love what I do and I am fairly decent at what I do.

    the neighbors call the cops or the city building official. I find this incredibly annoying and childish, but whatever. I have my guys move and it's not a big deal.

    Most of the time I park on the very right side of B's property, which is just to the left of my projects construction drive so my guys have parking in front of the project house. I am not there long, usually 2-3 hours.

    [deleted] We were renovating a house for a guy and instead of having the workers park in front of his house he paid to lease a lot where everyone had to park, a van to shuttle us back and forth, and we had to take down the scaffolding every night to not block his view when he had his morning coffee. In an 8 hour day we did about 4 hours of new work
